If I could rate this experience a zero I would!
If I could rate this experience a zero, I would. Shocking customer service and unorganised venue and staff. My child has additional learning needs (Autism). We arrived at the venue and explained this to the person on the desk, they asked for proof which we did not have on us at the time. My child went through to the venue and it was chaos. The queues were not supervised by staff so small children kept pushing in front. I was not allowed into the activities or the gift shop to assist my child with additional needs and when I explained that she needed help they refused to let me in and refused to help her. The staff did not care. She was getting more and more distressed as she did not understand what was going on, so in the end, I had to barge my way past and help her. We were in the venue for around 3 hours and my child went on 2 things, each queue was about an hour long (due to pushing and unorganisation). There was no guidance on what to do or help offered with the additional needs. In the end we decided to leave early as my child was upset and so was I. We requested a refund and was told to write into the email address for this refund. I visited the venue in April and I am in July now and still have not received my refund after chasing and chasing for all this time. The worst experience ever. I will never ever go again. I do not recommend taking your child here especially if they have additional needs.

They have no shame
I took my 3 years old son there. I asked the lady if they have got entertainment for 3 years old as I read on there website it is more appropriate for 4 year old and above. She assured me that it will be fun for 3 year old. She then told me that I need to pay £39 for my son and £20 for my entrance. I asked her at least 3 times if she is sure about the price as my son is only 3 and she said yes. We were there for less than 20 minute and there was absolutely nothing to do for someone in his age. I spoke to other parents who had children less than 4 and see what activity they manage to do with their young ones and they said they are only there for their older kids and they only paid £10 for their young ones. I was understandably very disappointed and came to talk to the lady who sold me the ticket and I was told she was on break and the manger who called Sia came and assured me that they will refund me the whole attendance and kept me there for 20 minutes and then he said he has checked and I can only be refunded by email. He said he will send me an email which he never did and when I emailed them , after few days the customer service emailed back saying that they will not give me the refund as they have no refund policy and they called me a liar saying that I told them my son was older than 4!!!!! Outrageous!!! Why should I even do that and what would have been my benefit???? Since then I emailed them back and I proposed to send my son ID and they became totally silent with no reply.

Outrageous service , poor costumer service and they have no shame to accuse you of their wrong doing. I will never go back there and I am going to make a formal compliant to stop this poor behaviour.

AMAZING!
AMAZING!

Kids absolutely loved it. Millie and a young gent (sorry can’t remember his name) we’re so friendly and really helpful.

Considering they’re short staffed (like most of the UK right now) the team were great, really energetic and engaged with my children.

Will definitely be back ?

Really nice idea but poorly managed
Really nice idea but poorly managed and very over-crowded.

We went on the weekend and the line was around 50 minutes long. Perhaps we will try again on a weekday or holiday.

Expensive for what it is

Not a patch on how it used to be - won’t return any time soon
We have been several times and always enjoyed it here, despite noticing a decline in everything over the years - staff numbers, staff helpfulness, number of activities open, variety of activities etc. I could go on.

Firstly we were surprised but pleased that we managed to snag next day tickets, something we’ve never been able to do before because it’s always been so popular. Upon arrival it was clear why this was the case, customers are giving the place a wide berth these days and we’ll be joining them. Far too many activities were shut, the staff were either rude or just generally disinterested. A far cry from all of our previous experiences where the staff played a huge part in making the role play fun. Of the activities available (and I’d say half of them overall were shut all day) so many were not technically able to be used because not enough children were there - the shop required 6 minimum and my 2 stood and waited for ages in the hope others would join them. But they didn’t. The crew activity for the plane was open but they couldn’t be paid because the scanner wasn’t working to credit their card. The emergency services activities didn’t have costumes like they previously had (and nothing to do with Covid because we’ve been since Covid previously and had them). The music one was closed. The newspaper was closed. The security one was closed. The baby one was closed. The window cleaning one (weirdly it’s my kids favourite and the first they ran to!) was closed.
The most annoying of all was the wrap one. Where previously they would return with a pack of mini wraps afterwards, today we had to pay £2.50 and they decorated a wrap with the worst smelling and tasty paste I’ve ever had the displeasure of being in proximity to.

Overall the place is in need of some serious work, time and money. The actual activities, staff training, resources, equipment, even the cafe was lacklustre this trip. Towards the end of our session we just gave up. There was nothing else open to do that they wanted to do, and there’s only so many times you can repeat the same activity in the same trip. 3 goes was their limit today.

Most of the activities that they had previously been paid for didn’t this time. So there was far less money on their card so they couldn’t spend it in the shop without us contributing. Something they’ve always managed easily in the past, and always done so proud of what they’ve earned during their time there.

The only beneficial activity was the pilot one where because of problems they were allowed to take part for free whereas usually it deducts money off their card.

I really don’t know how this place can increase the prizes and not deliver.

Avoid at all costs until they get round to sorting it out.

We absolutely loved Kidzania
We absolutely loved Kidzania. We went yesterday and after reading the reviews I was really concerned. We were there 12-3pm my 6&7 year old just got too exhausted to stay any longer (we had a 3hr long drive prior).
The favourites were the vets and midwife. All the staff were lovely and helpful. There was a few things closed but everything we wanted to do was open. We will definitely be back to finish what we didn’t do. For my girls there still young and didn’t really understand job = money fully so they wernt really bothered about paying for vets or getting money they just enjoyed the experience. Id recommend if you have children 4-9 yrs nothing really for under 4s to do.

Not for off-the-cuff
I was the kind of customer you’d love. Turning up out of the blue, ready to spend actual money on the experience without really knowing much about it, other than the concept.

It was 11am on a Friday and there was no one there. Saw numerous staff, but my first question was are there any spots for right now. They said yes, then asked if I had tickets, and I said no, I wish to do this off-the-cuff. It took 2 members of staff 5-10 mins to discuss in front of me how to book from scratch.

I would have stayed if it was new staff training, but this was a member of staff who had no idea asking another member of staff who also had no idea.

Now reading reviews I’m so glad I turned away at this point. I won’t go back because if you can’t provide adequate experienced staff as front of house, then what hope is there for inside.

1 star as it sounds like a good concept.

Hell Personified
The worst day out I’ve EVER had with my kids. Lots of the attractions were closed and it was so busy that the queues were really long and then the activities felt underwhelming and not worth the wait. Many things were closed or not operating properly (eg instead of making bread kids were asked to draw a picture of bread)! and the staff were not in character or costumes and seemed disinterested generally. Everybody I spoke to there on the day was in disbelief and complaining as it was so bad. We were offered to come back (they suggested Sunday morning out of school holidays as the best time) as a result but quite frankly, you couldn’t pay us. Their terms and conditions stated we couldn’t have a refund and of course, they blamed Covid but the place was packed and there were staff just hanging about not being helpful. I would urge you to think twice before booking as it’s a complete rip off. My kids hated it and their faces said it all.

Only rating it one as unable to give 0
Only rating it one as unable to give 0. There is no Covid restrictions in place, they say there is but witnessed no sanitising and face masks not being worn. According to customer services all staff don’t need. Seems hard to believe. Have contacted customer services who called me a liar basically. I have asked for a manager to call so will wait and see what happens.

Atharva's Trip to KidZania
My Trip to KidZania

My family stepped into the city of KidZania (with my mum, sister, and myself.) The city was busy like a buzzing bee. Kids were sprinting around enjoying their activities and their fun happening. I observed that the city was commonly crowded at the main or popular jobs. There were kids between the age-range of 2-18 years old. There were vehicles and transports beeping and having a tour around the astonishing city. The city seemed to be whimsical but confined and congested in size too. Today, I am going to talk about my first favourite four activity.

After, gazing this flawless, prosper place, which was full of benevolence, we went to a, ‘Job information centre,’ where we received, learnt some knowledge the city of children and eternity. While learning about the city, I got to know that not to run and if you got lost then you should stay at the fountain. I comprehended continued my journey. Firstly, we did the, ‘Aviation Academy,’ where we got to fly the aeroplane. The cockpit of the aeroplane was amazing and fantastic. My sister and myself felt like we were in a real cockpit. There were three windows and over 50 buttons to operate but the main 10 buttons were easy, and we were able to control it as it succeeded to land. While we were doing this, I had to teach my sister how to fly the aeroplane, but she quickly understood. Adjacent to the academy, there was a window cleaning department where we had to clean the windows. There, the instructor told us how to clean the windows by some special tools. She also gave us a clipboard about a location at where my sister and myself cleaned two windows perfectly.

After completing a hard-working job in the city, I tried to find another profession and found a music one. In it my sister and myself played some drums like Rockstar’s and listened to the beats of the songs and then rocked and rolled. I got to know the different types of parts of drums like snare drum and brass drum. We listened to songs and enumerated in different rhythms and pulses making it high-pitched and then low-pitched as well.
We had already spent 2 hours and 30 minutes of my 4 hours; I panicked and needed some food, but I ended to have a stomachache, so we quickly got downstairs and went to the bathroom where I spent 5 minutes of my time again. Near the music profession, there was an intelligence job where you had to find a deactivation code and I rapidly found it by going to other buildings and checking out the virus, then condemning it. I was staunched to this profession and longed to do it but felt that it needs too clever detectives, but I am not that great one.

My last favourite activity was the courier one where I did my best like a superhero. I delivered some valuable clothes and tools to places. I also helped my sister deliver some deliveries to the university ad the dental care. I liked this as it was easy and helps people get their stuff, like the courier service of Amazon. As conclusion, I would say my favourite job is the, ‘Aviation Academy,’ as it helps people to go different places and as a part-time job, ‘Courier Service.’ This was a splendid, supreme glory to triumph, and I will be glad this place to be renowned for its success.

Awful experience
Awful experience! Long queues, nothing for early years apart from 2 empty rooms with empty toy boxes and an empty book shelf. No refund policy so you can’t even complain. Uninterested staff and no customer services.

I would not like to come back
I would not like to come back. The queues are bad. They need to either shorten the time or let less people in as been here 4 hours and only achieve 5 missions. Kids looked so bored waiting around for long periods of time. And if you have a bad back or any other medical forget it as not much sweating and food over priced. Use to be lots here but lots of closed units.

Complete and utter chaos
3rd visit (last was 2017), compelled to write a review as 3rd time around it was a very different experience, and not for the better.

We thought a weekday during half-term (for our kids, not all schools) would be relatively quiet, but we were wrong.

Four separate schools were having a school trip. Nothing wrong with that, except the teachers and staff were not managing the children, and consequently it was absolute chaos. Hundreds of frenzied children running around, queue times were hideous (an hour for Pokemon!) and kids queue-jumping which the parents of the few visitors who weren’t part of the school trip were having to police. Teachers seemed to be using the trip as an excuse to relax and have a coffee, and staff ill-equipped to deal with the volume of boisterous kids. It left us feeling overwhelmed and underwhelmed at the same time.

Had we of known about the school trips we would not have visited.

Kidzania - you need to have designated days for school trips, and ensure children are attended too by teachers where possible.

Teachers - don’t use the trips as an excuse to take some chill-time - having to deal with your school children on top of our own isn’t fair.

In summary, won’t be coming back. Pretty dreadful experience which is a shame as the first visits were great.

Don’t bother!
I reiterate many of the below reviews.

Visited term time and there were multiple school trips on site - which in essence I don’t have an issue with but they completely overwhelm the environment and lack of control over them and the breakout groups means there is constant jumping in and out of queues.

After just three activities we’d had
to visit the bank twice as the machines in the stores which give the credit weren’t working; again the bank disorganised and understaffed meaning simple getting paid for the activity took longer than doing it did!

After completing these jobs and feeling we had collected a enough wages for a decent gift I was disappointed at the selection; we had to combine wages from both kids to get a squeeze ball; which had exploded by the time we got down the stairs. We got better prizes from the local arcade spending £10 vs £100 to come to Kidzania.

Complained on site and requested a refund; had to be passed to customer services who I have had to chase and am still waiting for the refund nearly 3 weeks later. Fingers crossed it comes through in the next few days or I am going to have to take it further.
